Put away all the nosh you got from purim!!!
What you like to eat put out of the house.
What you don't like keep in a closet!
If food is laying around its much harder not to eat it!!
Prepare appetizing healthy meals!
Vegetable soup id filling and easy to eat.
Make sure to drink enough. Fill up 2× 24oz or 40 oz water bottles and make sure to finish each day. If you're not used to it, go slow at first but once you're used to drinking you won't be able to do without and it's much easier.
Prep cut up fruits and veggies so you can snack on those. Have them ready on the table when your kids come home. You can all eat together and shmooze

Make real changes. Don’t yo-yo diet. Pick something sustainable and make new lifelong habits.

Here’s mine so far:

- don’t drink your calories. Bye juice soda and all sugary drinks. Hello water. If you don’t like plain water add lemon or fruit to it or drink flavored seltzer.

- don’t eat after 7:30 (not applicable when pregnant or nursing.)

- salad with lunch every day (this is amazing for digestion.)

-take your vitamins

What I’m working on:

- Pilates 2 times a week for 1 hour (so hard to get back into once you stop. Thank you, covid.)

- sleep 8 straight hours a night (hard to do when you have little kids... maybe I’ll master this in 20 something years....)

Do you do that? Not a bad idea. But what do you eat the rest of the day?? And that means no milk in coffee during the day Sad

Keep junk out of the house. Go gluten and dairy free for the whole family, will have you craving so much less. Add healthy fats to all meals

This is a secret diet. You will lose tons. You can eat whatever you want.
Just chew everything to soup. (About 30 times each mouthful)

I did it for about a month when I was on the Whole30 diet.

I liked some aspects of it and did lose some weight, but the food restrictions (no grains, no sugar, no dairy, no legumes) were too hard to maintain. No way could I live like that long-term, I was thinking about what I would eat or preparing food 24/7.

Yes. It saves me from so much crud.

And every time I want something sweet, I've been making myself take a fruit instead for a little while. I hope it helps!

My trick is baby carrots, since there is no prep
You can choose another veg if you don’t mind the prep, or mix and match a veg
If you want to stick something in your mouth stick a carrot. If you’re not hungry for a carrot then you’re not hungry.

Greens at every meal

Minimize fruit -add more veggies

If you need to buy your kids snacks the buy them in individual packages, 1 for each child. So you know if you take one you’re taking it away from your child.
For example, I have 4 kids. Every week I buy my kids 20 snack bags, 4 of each kind and no more (unless it’s our turn to host bnos or pirchei) I know if I eat one they won’t have for school.
