Can anyone tell me:

A) is it true that I should stay away from any shaitel that has layers because that means it’s very old and they’re not manufacturing with layers nowadays
B) can anyone recommend where in Lakewood to get a good shaitel (in max two to mid two thousand range) that isn’t layered or processed, with someone who’ll stand behind it. Have had several bad experiences, I’m very desperate, and I’m hearing that there’s a shortage these days.

I have a simcha next week and I literally have a knot ball to put on my head (1.5 year old Irene that knots like you wouldn’t believe).

A is probably true.
B I don't know if any non processed wigs in that range. Maybe a beverly?

Are you looking for a lace top/front?

Just a regular natural looking part but not the real real looking new lace top/fronts, if that’s what you mean

I would try Chayala Friedman's salon. Heard great things about her.

1 week is too little time but you may get lucky.
Unprocessed hair will cost you a lot more than 2.5k unless you wear chin length.
I'm very happy with my Miri Olympia. Flat cap, blunt length no layers. Doesn't knot. I have it almost 2 years.

Just bought an unprocessed Kiki for $2600 in Brooklyn.

I second Miri for a decent cheap wig. It holds style beautifully. The new line has a very flat top.

Can anyone chime in about their recent experience with Tova. I saw some in mid 2s today. Unprocessed. I want straight and long. There were some layers but they were so long I don’t know if it’d make a difference.
Also, I saw Zissy looked similar but about $1200 more (high 3s). Why? Is it better quality? Thanks!
