You mean the OK? I've never heard of someone not using that but I guess if you use only heimish hechshers you wouldn't hold by it. But the OK is definitely a mainstream hechsher

Do you mean the OK?
It's a well known reliable hechsher where I come from. But then again, I dont know who Rabbi Eidelitz is, so maybe we don't run in the same circles

ETA: I googled Rabbi Eidelitz and checked his website and the OK is definitely on there, so maybe your talking about a different hechsher that has a circle and a k?

They're recommended by the CRC.

A circle with a K inside?

If that’s what your asking about here is the website. https://www.ok.org/

The OK is very reputable and I believe one of the largest kosher certification organizations around.

But you should be asking your dh or whoever you use for kashrus, not Imamother

Unfortunately Rabbi Don Yoel Levy passed away this year. It was a true loss for the Jewish people.

I know that we don't use it for important things-dairy, meat, etc. We rely on it for things like candy and basic cooking things. Everyone is different though:)

The OK is like the OU. A very good hechsher, in other words. I would say the three main hechshers in the US are the OU the OK and the chof K.

It’s on rabbi eidlitz website and app. Idk how I missed it. I went through the list few times. Yes it’s a circle with a k inside.

Some people try to avoid the Star K and the OK. They're not universally accepted, so everyone has to ask their own shaylah about what their family does and does not use.

I think it's actually OU, OK and CRC. We stay away from chof k, and star k is very good but not as widespread.

It's very reliable but needs to say (or list on it''s s website) that a food is cholov yisroel, pas yisroel or bishul yisroel. They are very well run, so I'd trust them to catch mistakes or glitches.
You can always ask them if you have a question. They may certify something cholov stam, but they "hold" of cholov yisroel etc. and will easily be able to tell you if something is on your standard.
