Any recommendations? I want to find one that is affordable because it’s only for one week a year.

The two main foods I want to be able to make is sorbet and potato kugel. I don’t need a kugel blade, because I don’t mind using a regular shred for that.

Thanks!

Get the Braun. You won't regret. Worth every penny.

We bought an immersion blender with food processor attachment, it was small but did the trick!

Thanks for the link! It’s currently in my Amazon cart and will purchase in a day or so if I don’t find any better.

That’s what I used last year, it really wasn’t strong enough to handle blending ices into sorbet.

I'm really happy with my Hamilton Beaches. (Pesach and chometz.)
I had a name brand (not Braun) and the motor died. And the feed tube was really annoyingly narrow.

Just went on Amazon to get a link to it. https://www.amazon.com/stores/.....om-20

Great machine for the price. In fact, it replaced a Braun that I hated.

Thanks! I see there are $50 Hamilton beach ones and $100. Which ones have you been happy with?

Also there is a cuisinart 8c processor for sale ($100 instead of $150). I’m debating that one too. How do I decide 😂

I definitely have a $50 range one Wink
Check the feeding tube and capacity on the Cuisinart. Not worth it.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/prod.....fthis is the one I have. I had a different one that was a dud (had a French fry cutter, oh well) so I returned and got this and loved it so much, I bought another one for chometz after selling off my heavy professional 14 C Cuisinart

Costco has the KitchenAid 9 cup food processor on sale for 69.99 until tomorrow.

The same model sells elsewhere for 150-180.

A few months ago I picked up one in Aldi for $25. It's smallish but does the trick, and much better then grating by hand as I used to do.

It's about 179.
Use it for kugel, shredded veggie soup, shredded carrots for salad, shredded apples for charoset, grated horseradish for marror, pulsed chips for shnitzel.
To make sorbet, boil sugar and water. Add lemon. Freeze in container. Break into chunks and process in food processor until slushy. Freeze again. Process again.

Maybe it was mentioned up thread but I heard there is a (I think jewish) company that copied the Braun processor. It was given to many stores to try for some months and they are all saying it's excellent. I think it's only $100. I don't recall the name of the company. Maybe someone else can chime in with more info.
