My grandmother was Rose, I would love to name a daughter after her. I would use Rosa, and call her Rosie….I don’t think my husband would ever go along with it though.

Could you name your daughter Raizel/Raizy and make her English name Rose/Rosie?

My kids don’t have English names, and I’m not such a fan of Raizel or anything similar.

Maybe shoshana, either alone or with rose as a middle name?

I know lots of Shoshanas who are named for a Rose.

for boys I have an insane amount of names I like...
Yechezkel - with or without Shraga
Simcha - with or without Bunim
Yochanon
Yonason
Yeshaya
Gedalya
Menachem
Aryeh
Binyomin
Efraim
Elimelech
Meshulam
Eliezer (can't use that one...)
Meir (can't use that either...)
Shraga Feivel
etc... there are more, but I can't think of them this second.

For girls, I tend to like Yiddish names... (I'm not chassidish)
Raizel, Perel, Aidel, Shaindel (will iyH use that - my grandmother's name), Gittel, Shaina...
and Basya, Risa, Malka, Dena (can't use that)...

Roiza is the same name as Rosa, just with a chassidish pronunciation. I know many Rosies, mostly kids but also some adults in their 20s/30s.

I always wanted to use the name Sacha. The only thing holding us back is DH's opinion that it's a dog's name wondering
