Can you please help me to know where to look? Would need to be appropriately frum environment and prefer outdoor yard space that is plentiful since we will have to quarantine for the whole time.
Do you think it is crazy to come now?

For Israelis. Elections are soon.
For foreigners, it’s news to me.

Very few ppl are being let in
I know a couple who came to America for a valid reason. They really aren’t sure when they will be allowed back in. Some ppl are told they can’t come back for 2 months. It’s not so simple to fly in.
Are you all vaccinated?

Just curious what happens if you actually make it there and they shut flights going out again?

So I think if you are not vaccinated then you just need to have a negative corona test within 72 hours of flying and a place to quarantine.

In terms of what if we can't get back, yes that is a concern .
I am just wondering since so many people are vaccinated how likely that is.

This is not a realistic plan. Even if you can get into Israel without being vaccinated (I don't know what the deal is on that right now), flights to and from Israel are being cancelled all over the place. You run a real risk of having your flight cancelled with no time to get here, and you also run a risk of not being able to fly out for a long time after yom tov.

We're in Israel, and it looks like we're going to be hosting a lot of stranded folks who thought they would be going elsewhere for the chag.

Maybe by then, but maybe not.
There also won’t be much to do. Restaurants and other social places will be closed to you. They will likely close the old city.
It’s all so unreliable.

I am totally with you.
I am afraid of all of this as well.
I have a specific reason I can't share I feel pressured to go.
I was told by somebody there that everything in Israel is moving in the direction of opening up now.
So you would say that is not your feeling?

I don't understand why you would even want to go? To be quarantined in some apartment the entire time? You may as well be anywhere else in the world.
Unless of course you're not planning on quarantining

It’s true that everything is moving in the direction of opening up: However - there is fear of a big backlash from opening now that will bring to closing up at Pesach time. I am optimistic, but this is not far fetched. Another important point is that there is a huge differentiation better between Israelis here and bringing in people from overseas. The emphasis now is opening up locally but very much restricting overseas interaction. You might plan on coming and spending Pesach in a nice rental (You’ve paid for) but end up in a corona hotel instead.
Assuming you’re not leaving in the next week - you will have to quarantine over Pesach and will not be able to meet anyone or see anything here - so why come?

I have a situation I am trying to resolve by coming.
Complicated story.
But yes I am very very afraid actually to come and get stuck or anything else that was brought up.

You can try renting a zimmer. Since you won't be able to leave, it doesn't really matter where it is. You need something that is reliably kosher for Pesach and where you will be able to get food delivered. I don't know how easy it will be to find something like that. Or you could just do quarantine in a hotel.

If you are citizens, you can argue that you have a right to come here to vote. Not being vaccinated won't make it any easier to come in, and from what I understand flights are very full. Once the election is over they may crack down on travelling again. If you do get in leaving is another question.
