Recipe calls for a pickled turkey roast but when I made the recipe it was way too salty. Can I use a regular turkey roast?
(It's roasted with wine and spices)

I vote yes. Pickled roasts don't necessarily need more.
OTOH, you can use pickled but leave out salt or any spices with added salt.

Thanks there was no added salt and I rinsed the roast as the recipe instructed but it was still very salty.
