Good morning Ladies!

I know most of you are frantically making Pesach, but spoiled little ol' me is going away for the whole thing. Quite lovely! I would like to use this week when the kids are home to help me to begin cooking and baking for my son's bar mitzvah.

We are inviting close family and friends for dinner, and a larger crowd for dessert (and hopefully fireworks if we can pull it off!). We'll be hosting the event in a tent in our yard.

After much vacillation on the part of the bar mitzvah boy, he would like to serve a dairy spread. This is because the most important part of the meal for him is (always!) dessert, and he wants an ice cream Sunday bar.

I'd love help putting together a dessert buffet menu. I'm a little nervous about pulling this all together!

I know I'd like to make those lovely layered mini mousse dessert cups. They're so cute, and always seem to go quick at these sorts of events. Any recipes? I have a stash of about 100 little glass ball jars to make them in, and I'd love to make a few varieties.

I want a section of warm desserts (as the party will be outdoors in the evening). Maybe pan of pull-apart cinnamon buns, pan of peach crisp, pan of some sort of choc chip cookies or choc chip blondies or cookie bars in chafing dishes to keep them warm. Any other suggestions?

My son loves rice crispy treats and peanut chews, and these are a staple in my house, so this will definitely be on the menu!

What else? All suggestions welcome!!!

What about a candy bar? You can have a display of milchig candy treats.

Belgian waffles? You can make those look really fancy with caramel topping, chocolate topping, ice cream on top, etc

Also it would be pretty easy to let people top their own
