I think Boston is a medium sized OOT community. Not as big as Baltimore or Cleveland or LA, not as small as many.

Bergen, Passaic, Edison are considered cities, not suburbs.
But then I figure, compared to midtown Manhattan, Brooklyn is a suburb too so it's all good...

Close! Bergen County contains towns like Teaneck and Bergenfield which are suburbs of NYC. Passaic is a county but also a city with many Jewish people. Edison is a town and a bit further from the city.
