People are saying Shatzer Matzah is good this year.

Ours (whole wheat) is as tough to chew as bricks.

Is the whole wheat usually tougher?

In other brands Whole Wheat is equally thin.

Their whole wheat is tastiest.
They do not make thin matzah. They make tasty matzah.

We got 3 kinds of Shmura this year. We heard that Shatzer is usually good. It is tough as can be.

We just couldnt justify paying Charedim prices. We regret it BIGTIME.

I guess it's not to your taste.

I got the exact same matza as you and thought it was delicious.

It's the Polish word for whole wheat so I imagine it's the Yiddish word too.

Matza that is too thick or soggy can be toasted. We place a bunch in a baking pan into the oven for approximately 10 min. It comes out delicious.

BTW we usually order our whole wheat Shatzer matzah through my uncle's chabura. Due to covid he didn't go this year and we bought straight from the bakery. The matzah wasn't all fresh and we were not too happy. So if you bought straight from the matzah bakery, I understand you OP.

We bought at Shatzer bakery.

You think they deliver different Matza to different places?

The chabura is basically a group of people that pay to make their own matzah and bring it home. So it's fresh. I guess that was the difference for me. We bought it from the matzah storefront this year and didn't find it fresh.

Even through they're heavy, they're usually very tasty and crispy.
