We're looking for an affordable moshav or yishuv (preferably not over the green line), where there's plenty of greenery, elbow room, possibly place to have our own mini-farm/field.
We would need to be close enough to a city or town with Chareidi institutions for our kids' schooling.
Does such a place exist?
There's Meitzad (which is over the green line).
There's Beit Meir (which appears to be expensive).
I would like to hear what ideas you come up with.
Alternatively, do you know of any places that would be okay with open-minded Anglo Chareidi families moving in? We are very accepting and respectful of others and would expect that back in return.

Do you know any more information about Yesodot or Beit Chelkiyah?

I think Mattityahu is a bit on the pricey side.
I'm looking for something preferably within the 1.5 million ILS range, but to be realistic, I may have to raise that to 2 million.

Many Dati Leumi communities that are accepting and respectful of others do draw a bit of a line on the army service question. It can be hard to be accepted if your sons will not serve.

Looks interesting.
Do you know more about this moshav?
Are there other Chareidi families or you assume they would be open to having open-minded Chareidim move in?

yavniel - keep in mind that it is a breslov yishuv and there is an element that is very not typical/unhealthy (marrying kids of a 14) but there is also a normal healthy crowd
ohr ha ganuz - same caveat
achiud is a temani yishuv that has a very big mix with a large charedi crowd but you need to be teimani to fit in - people travel to Karmiel or to Nahariya or Maalot for school.

Yesodot.
Mazkeret Batya and Tel Shahar have a nice dati crowd, and are near to the charedi schools in Rehovot. Don't know if you'd really feel like you fit in.

But Mazkeret Batya is not cheap...

Bar Yochai, up north, near Miron, Tzfat and the yeshuv that was mentioned, Or Haganuz.
It's a very mixed yeshuv, I think most are dati leumi, but there is a charedi element AFAIK.
Close to nature, lots of space and green.
In general for some reason most of the charedi communities are urban.

Chareidi + Rural + Inexpensive + within 48 borders...
TBH, I don't know a spot that fits all 4 criteria. You might look in the periphery - far south. But that would be a hard landing for an Oleh.
Maybe start somewhere more central, and do your research and visit communities once you're here? You may be surprised what appeals to you and what bothers you in a community.

I agree. I would suggest to pick a place which will give you a soft landing, get your bearings in Israel and then you can consider moving "off the beaten track"

Thank you everyone for your replies.
I found out that there's a small anglo Chareidi community in Yavniel (that is not Breslov).
We're going to look there first.
