It was hilarious to watch it with the kids.

DH: hey that's Nachum Sigal
Kids: who's that
Me: he's from JM in the AM
Kids: what's JM in the AM
DH: a radio station
Me: in the olden days we had something called "radio"
Then Avraham Fried sings some really old songs that are a blast from the past. I mean, I was probably 5 when I heard them last.
Kids: (not recognizing the songs) how OLD are these songs?
Me: so old, I remember hearing them in my granparents' house on a record player.
Kids: a what?
Me: it's a device that plays records. A record is like a very big CD, you know, those round things you keep seeing around the house? It's an old fashioned way your big siblings used to watch/listen before streaming... Before even USBs...
ETA: is that song, Rise, also sung to acapella?

I emailed them beforehand asking if it would stay up anywhere and was told "for a short time" - it must have been very short, because I tried it less than 4 hours after the end (I'm in Europe so couldn't watch last night) and...NADA!

Thanks for getting me to watch it. I'm really enjoying. I love singing along to the oldies while my kids roll their eyes.
