DH tells you when to expect him home?

No. I ask him. But it's like this for as long as I remember so at this point it doesn't even bother me.

Yes he tells me that he is "in the way" "at the door" "coming now"

Then he sees a squirrel he really had to chase. Or bumps into a friend he hasn't seen in years. Or gets a call to complete a minyan from someone he's never spoken to. Or fix a friends garage door.

Sometimes he says he is "10 minutes away" and he really is.

At least I know he really does intend to let me know his eta. But realistically he has zero concept of time. It's usually annoying but harmless.

Mine often, but not always, calls when he's done to ask if I want him to get something from the store. However he keeps an updated schedule on Google calendar and marks each day when he (supposedly) finishes work. If he's staying late he'll usually send me a message that he'll be late but then doesn't necessarily tell me/know when he'll be done. Either way, I'm not bothered by it. He usually answers when I can him so if I'm concerned/want to know when to expect him, I can easily reach him.
