My oldest child is going to Israel!

Does Amazon ship to Israel these days?

Are there minimum and maximum limits to avoid taxes and shipping?

Thank you!

Some items will not ship to Israel.
Some items will ship to Israel, but the shipping is very expensive.
Some items will ship to Israel, and the shipping is very reasonable.

You just need to put each item in your cart and see what the shipping is and if it's worth it to you. Different sellers are different as well. (I ordered a certain item for my son. One seller was $30 shipping on a $4 item, one seller was $4 shipping.)

To avoid high taxation, never order over $75. Wait a couple of days and place another order rather than going over $75.

Yes. For a fee.

Anything over $75 dollars will be charged tax.

Sometimes there are local sources for the same products which work put significantly cheaper when you take shipping and taxes into account.

Look at zap.co.il
You could get many things that way.
Use Google translate.

I'm happy to help you find Israeli sites for things you would want to ship to your child.
Anything from overseas gets taxed beyond $75 which adds up quickly.

Does the $75 include the shipping?

If the value of the contents is below $75, then no.

However, if the value of the contents is above $75, then you get taxed on the full value of the parcel, including shipping.

For instance, if the contents are worth $74 and shipping is $15, you don't pay tax. If the contents are worth $80, and shipping is $10, you pay tax on a $90 parcel. Its complicated.
