In a few weeks I will iyh be making a vachncaht. I have a teenage daughter, 2 little girls and a son.
What is appropriate wear? Should they be wearing a shabbos dress? Very elegant dress? Nice weekday dress?

Kids can wear the clothing they wore that day.
Vachtnachts are not fancy events.

I would say nice weekday. Meaning not clothes they wore while painting.
Mom of baby wears Shabbos robe.
