Approximately 8 years ago I had a bad acne breakout. I went to someone new for a facial and instead of squeezing out the inflammation, she squeezed it in. Ever since then I have a large scar on my cheek which sometimes gets inflamed, it’s sometimes light and unnoticeable and sometimes very dark but I can always feel a bump under my skin. I’ve tried going for other facials, and a dermatologist but nothing has helped so far.

It's probably a cyst with a sac that needs to be surgically removed by a dermatologist.

Not by a dermatologist. Please no.
I went to a dermatologist. Thank God it was on my upper arm so nobody will see the scar. But I regret not going to a plastic surgeon.
Please see a plastic surgeon.

Go see a dermatologist in Manhattan first and ask for a plastic surgeon recommendation if necessary. They have so many different types of advanced lasers these days...it might be easily solvable.

sorry for asking again but can anyone recommend a really good dermatologist in New York?
Khaki do you have a specific dermatologist in Manhattan that you know of and like (as there are many dermatologists in Manhattan)
