Then don't come. Or else deal with quarantine for twelve days.

Or decide which is most important to you; coming to Israel or not vaccinating. At the moment you can't have both.

Good news! DH got an update from a friend yesterday. I'll post it here:

"Did u see the item just now on Channel 12 news? Protocol has been defined for permitting foreign tour groups to start entering the country at the end of May. From July, FIT pax will be allowed to enter Israel. Testing required of every tourist upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport."

1. Many countries -- communist, capitalist, socialist, etc. -- require vaccinations of various types before granting entry to foreign tourists.

2. You act as if you (a non-Israeli citizen/resident, presumably) have the right to come here whenever you please. Israel is a sovereign country that makes its own laws. If you don't want to comply stay home.

Organized groups will be allowed in on May 23, but the tourists in those groups must be vaccinated. If all goes well, vaccinated individuals not coming as part of organized groups may also be allowed in. (Groups are easier to track.)

Also, Israel has worked hard and paid millions to reach the point it's at now. We don't owe anyone entry if they might spark a new outbreak. I'm sorry, but your trip isn't more important than keeping our economy, schools, and shuls open and our corona wards empty. It's not communism for a country to protect itself from a pandemic which is still making the rounds in the rest of the world. No one is forcing you to take the vaccine, but you have no right to demand that the citizens of Israel pay the price for your decision.

Not clear yet. I'm sure Israel will figure that out in due time. Right now the concern isn't individual tourists but allowing the economy and hurting tourism industry to reopen without doing things that will put it at risk of closing again in the near future.

Israel has worked extremely hard to get rid of the virus in Israel. Yesterday I think there were around 200 positive cases. Almost everyone I know has vaccinated of course there are those that can't. But Israel has worked too hard to start all over again if the virus comes back from tourists.

Yes!!! My parnassah has been completely affected by Corona. My kids schooling. My entire life. Ppl who live in Israel give up so much every day to be here. 讗专抓 讬砖专讗诇 谞拽谞讛 讘讬住讜专讬诐
The fact that ppl are calling this forced vaccination is downright insulting! You don鈥檛 have to vaccinate and I completely respect that! But that doesn鈥檛 give you a right to jeopardise our status and come waltzing into the country. Why are ppl so entitled? Why do ppl think that we owe them being allowed to visit?
Do you know how much we give up?!
My mother hasn鈥檛 been to my home since I had my daughter. It was hard for her to come at first and then Corona started. I have not been home. We haven鈥檛 seen first degree family members in two, some three years etc etc
That comment was so insensitive and entitled. If I come to America (I鈥檓 not American) and I must quarantine or be vaccinated I wouldn鈥檛 dream of even arguing.
Ppl have lives here too!!! 馃檮馃檮馃檮馃檮

I understand. I hope they'll figure it out. I'm in the USA and so far cannot vaccinate children. Really wanted to do my pilot trip this summer so we can start the Aliyah process.
Hopefully Moshiach comes in the interim. I miss my home! Crying

If the whole of Israel is vaccinated then they have immunity no? So if someone shows up unvaccinated how does that spark an outbreak?
