I use filtered water from the sink. Is that ok? I was reading online that water should be boiled first

Its fine. If your baby is having digestive issues you can try switching to boiled water. It is easier on their stomachs.

What about plain old tap water? Like the kind I drink myself?

Newborns- boiled water only
Past 3-4 months bottled water.
Tap water is not filtered. Their stomachs are so sensitive.

I use distilled water.
I read that you shouldn't boil spring water as it will concentrate the minerals too much making it unsafe for the baby. I don't know if that applies to other waters.
I would definitely not use tap water. You don't know what's in it. Some states add flouride to their tap water.

Distilled water only. Made such a difference with my first that I always made sure after that.

Bottled water. But we don't drink it straight from the sink either, and nobody here does. I think it's location-dependant. At my parents, I use tap water, and I drink it too.

Ok good thanks for the reassurance that I am not a crazy person to give my baby tap water lol.
Where I live, water doesn't need a filter so we don't have one.
I don't think it is necessary to make having a baby any more complicated that it already is.
