Just to let you all know I just went to Trader Joe's and the cinnamon buns in the red tube say OUd and the back says may contain traces of milk.
I'm looking forward to the vegan cheesecakes though!

It says that because it’s processed in a facility where they also process dairy. There’s no milk in it. It also says that on Oreos and all the soy products my allergic child eats. In the tiny winy barely impossible chance it has the teensiest drip drop of dairy, and someone has an allergic reaction to it, most companies will write that as a disclaimer so that they don’t get sued. My child doesn’t eat the cinnamon buns while holding an epipen.

Could it be that they recently changed it to dairy? If there was truly any milk ingredient than your daughter would have a reaction, right?
So what about the whole traces of milk thing? That's just to satisfy government regulations?
Anything that would make them ok will make me happy!!!!

That's the problem with OUD; the manufacturers can change the ingredients to include actual dairy at any time and there would be no change with the hechsher. You must must must call the OU every few months to double check it's still dairy equipment, and at the least double check the ingredients list every now and then to make sure nothing actually dairy has been added

Funny I just bought it and mine doesn’t have any milk ingredients.

Just says may contain.

I live in the Midwest.

I just went to Trader Joe’s for the first time and bought their freeze dried fruit. Strawberries and raspberries. They’re yum. Healthy easy low calorie snack!
I also bought the everything spice and the sunflower chocolate cups 😋
