My oldest just got her learners permit. She can only drive with an adult in the car for now, but that won't last forever. I think there are various apps I can put on her phone to promote safe driving--they report speed, slamming on brakes, etc, as well as silence the phone while the car is in motion, etc.
Do you have an app like that that works well for you?

Android has an app called android auto. I'm not sure if it's exact uses but I when I plug in my phone it brings up a map and the music goes into a car mode and if a text message comes it'll read it out loud I also have a car that has a screen so the Android auto feature works really well with that I think Apple has a similar built-in app

Also I'm pretty sure most phones come with some sort of driving mode that can be turned on automatically when the Bluetooth in the car gets connected or it detects the phone driving at a certain miles per hour because that used to happen to me when I was in the passenger seat all the sudden my phone would be on driving mode
