I didnt want to give nosh for mm, cause everybody gives that, and I wanted to make something people would appreciate, so I decided to make a couple of challa rolls, and 2 dips (tomato and babaganoush) and put in nicely on a plate wrapped with a cellophane paper.
however, I realized it takes a one whole eggplant to make the little container of babaganoush, and it would become too expensive to buy 30 eggplants and the it would take a long time to peel them, so I need a new idea for what I should make my other dip instead of babaganoush.
any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'd like it to be relativly easy to make and not too expensive and something people would actually eat.

Dips are expensive and have to be refrigerated. Why not send something else for Shabbos that's homemade but easy and not expensive, like a pie or chocolate cake?

I dont know how you make your babaganoush, but I make mine with one eggplant and theres a nice dishful for up to 8 people or so. I poke holes in it and broil it for about 35 minutes with the skin ON. then turn it over scoop it out, add mayo and salt, lemon juice garlic etc and that should get you more than one serving.
