I'm looking into buying these mary janes for my daughter and wondering how they hold up? In particular, are the leather better than the woven? Any insight appreciated.

In my experience, they're junk and don't hold up well. They're not made for playing outside.

They’re dress up shoes not for wear and tear.
So shabbs morning or wedding pics but not park ball and slides shoes.

Thanks all. Here’s my question. I’d say the same of the expensive “frum” shabbos shoes that they’re for shabbos morning and pics etc, not for play in the park. So are these any worse?

They are worse but I was so happy that I d
Spent 50$ on them instead of $100 on a more expensive pair. My son hardly wore them this past season and he destroys the expensive ones as well.

They're worse. They're also uncomfortable for walking so if you walk on shabbos, take that into account.

They work perfectly fine for my very active 3 year old. I get them every season for Shabbos and they’re just fine!

Don’t get the woven shoes! There is no way to clean them. I threw my sons out after 2 wears they were filthy black. I tried spraying oxi clean but it did not take it out.
The leather ones should be easier to clean.
If your child is hard on their shoes don’t get them. Otherwise they should last for the season if you don’t let them play in it.

You could've washed them in the machine.

You think they would have held up in The machine?
I didn’t know you could wash shoes.

They’re worse. The first time my kids wore them was after a rainfall the roads were still wet. They were like soggy paper and just fell apart. Garbage after one wear.
