Pizza! And ice cream, Frappuccinos, chocolate, Tootsie Rolls (was so happy when they became kosher!), pasta with butter and salt. Chicken soup, or a hearty vegetable soup.

Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy salads and vegetables, but they are less of a go-to comfort food.

ETA: grilled cheese! And scrambled eggs.

Carbs salt spice and some acid with just the right amount of sweet. Pasta is usually perfect but pizza or flavored chips are great, sushi too. Anything salted caramel.

I love tradition soups too but I get absolutely bloated from them and I need to drink gallons of water to feel normal after eating one.

CHEESE
All kinds of cheese - shredded, sticks, slices, chunks; melted or not; on stuff or just straight from the bag.

And of course... CHEESECAKE!

I actually used to enjoy an ice cold coke sometimes, especially in the summer....but alas, COVID! Coke now tastes rotten-egg flavored.

It's so weird, I can imagine what it used to taste like, but if I taste it...nooo.

B"H I can still enjoy coffee and chocolate....

It's interesting how macaroni and cheese is pretty much universal. Any variation of a pasta with a creamy sauce is a winner with me. Chickpea pasta is the best wheat substitute out of all of them. With the right sauce you absolutely cannot tell the difference.

Right now, I'm making 3 cheese spanikopita with spinach, zucchini, and caramelized onions and garlic. I'm making it crustless to cut down on the carbs. It will probably come out something like a hybrid between a vegetarian lasagna and a quiche.

My house smells amazing right now. Very Happy

Depends.
On worst days: chocolate pudding, rice pudding.
On medium days: fresh hot potato kugel
On best days: plain baked yukon gold potato, shaving off layer by layer with a spoon, like baby food.
