I recently moved to a new house and I am going through the process of landscaping for the first time. We have two tall bushes on either side of our front door, right near the front door. Do I have to be worried that the roots are bad for the plumbing and structure of the house? My husband wants to have them pulled out. I think they frame the doorway and look nice, but understand if it will be bad in the future, it is worth it. I don’t know any landscaper well enough to trust their opinion.
