what's the difference between Mosholu vs chasam soffer? what' preschool like? Parent body? English education in later grades?

I'm old time BP not litvish more heimish to the chassidish side. chassam Soffer I'm familiar with. How does the parent body compare? how is the english education in older grades? what is class size? how many classes per grade

Mosholo is a much smaller school.
Don’t know much about chasam Sofer but Mosholo is a very warm school, great rebbes and menahel. They focus on each individual child and are very positive. English is not the greatest, same as every other Cheder

How chassidish is it? whats parent body like? do kids speak to each other in Yiddish or English? Till what grade do they learn English? Whats the pre school like?

wouldn't go for mushalo at all
worked there and saw what kind of place it is. could be the mothers are happy there but it was sort of a ship without a captain. is that what you are looking for?

It’s much better than it used to be.

That was my experience too, but a good few years ago.
Chsan Sofer is definitely a more stable, more established school.

the whole way the school was run
when I came in to do the office for the principle he wasn't there cuz he had taken a vacation for a month. thats one example

Honestly no school is perfect.
I sent to ycs until I moved to lkwd.
Almost 2 years ago.

Rebbas are there for years- some are better then the others.
Biggest issue I had there was the pre school principal didnt like my son. ( a 4 year old, mind you)

I still have siblings sending to ycs and to mosholo.
