What’s possible? I had it done (just wash and set) before Pesach and it came out horrible. I tried to fix it myself but I can’t take it anymore.  TIA!

Ask your LOR but I think I was told it's permissible because it's not hair (it's more like alterations on a clothing item)

Wash and set is definitely not a problem.
A trim is questionable, depending on your minhag. Ask your Rav.
(You can also hold off until after lag baomer for the trim. It's only one more week!)
