Can anyone share an elegant cheese cake recipe appropriate for a simcha on shavuos? Not too complicated but should make a nice impression. Thank you.

I think any cheesecake made in a springform will Work. It’s all in the decoration.
Nut topping.
Whip cream
Small chocolate balls layer out in a pattern
Chocolate shavings
Chocolate leaves
Ganache icing (cream and good quality choc)

Brownie base instead of crust!
Swirl in two colors of good quality jam instead of just one
Reserve some batter and mix with cocoa. dollop on top and use a feathering technique
Mix crushed pareve oreos in the batter and decorate on top with wholes, halves, & crumbs

Don't look for a fancy cheesecake, look for an amazing recipe that needs to be baked in a water bath. Make sure you crack the oven door open when it's done and let it cool that way to avoid cracks. Make it in a springform pan like was suggested upthread. Decorate the top beautifully. I have an amazing and easy recipe if you would like it. It makes one massive cake or a regular one and a small one.

I like the sound of the brownie base-do you have a recipe for that?
