I have HAD it.
Please help me.
Every time I make challah I want to cry after because of the cleaning up after.
I have a Bosch mixer. Use the white bowl to make challah. The dough gets into every crevice of the bowl's center piece and rim, as well as every crevice of the gray click-in top. I soak. I use toothpicks. Its still impossible to reach every part and incredibly time consuming.
Please.
Is there a trick im not aware of?

Wash as best as you can. Then, soak in 50/50 bleach and water mixture for 20-30 min. Any residue will be gone.
I don't really have problems with dough sticking to my bowl (I use the stainless steel bowl) but do this periodically for a deep clean, especially inside the center of the white bowl.

My mother taught me to use the rough net sponges to clean the bousch.
Many times I save the bags onions come in to do this.
Or those Shabbos sponges made out of folded plastic nets.
The dough gets caught in the nets.
Also wash it right away or soak it.
Throw out net when done.

I just went from the Magic Mill to the Bosch and I think clean up is a breeze now! Granted, I have the stainless bowl but the Magic Mill was an absolute nightmare to clean. It’s all relative, I guess.

You must switch to the stainless steal bowl! Your overworking the motor and you’re gonna kill the machine! Yes I heard this from a guy who fixes bosches

I read on imamother to use a stiff brush to clean the Bosch. Since then that's what I do. I use the white bowl for challah. I dump the dough into a regular mixing bowl for rising, so I can wash the Bosch before anything gets dried on. I scrub out all the crevices with a stiff brush, it works!

Newest trick
Put cover into a large clear bag. And remove when finish mixing. I ONLY use metal bowl for challa dough.

My Bosch only came with the plastic bowl. I'd use the metal if I had one. Iirc it isn't cheap to buy it separately.

Spraying with oil before I use it & washing it right away has helped, but it's still a job to clean

Is the metal bowl the same size as the plastic? I make a large dough in the plastic bowl...

You could make a dough from 6 lbs of flour in The metal bowl.

Immediately after mixing my challah dough, I transfer it to a regular bowl to rise. Then I fill up the Bosch bowl with boiling hot water and soap, up to the tippy, tippy, top, cover it with the cover and let everything soak and steam for a while. Make sure the dough hook is submerged.
I dump the water and wash like normal. All the dough comes right off under running water.

Same size. Much sturdier. Won't strain the motor. Or the dough so dough stays together in one piece without getting into crevices.
