Yes I did with my son. I gave my husband money to invest and he put it in there. It went up 10 times the amount.

I bought in at 5 cents. Made nice money so far bh. But the risk is nerve wracking.

I knew about pesach but thought it was too omuch a risk. Oh well. We discussed it then. That and $5 will get me on the subway. Wink

Can’t you put a sell price to still make something.
We were discussing bec crypto currency operated over Shabbos having a sell price trigger over Shabbos could be problematic. But we never asked a Sheila it just made foe good Shabbos discussion.

That’s not going to get him a bmw at all.

300 invested Pesach time would maybe be $3000....

I have a nice amount of coins, but bought them when they were already pretty high. Right now I’m at a bit of a loss, but I’m leaving it in. I was watching an analysts video and he claimed that within 3 months they’ll be valued at 3000 each coin. If that happens, I retire, invest it all in stable investments with minimal risk and live easy.

We got 50,000 shares at .10. If it reaches a dollar we will have made 45k.
Why would it go up so much? It’s a joke. It’s not like Bitcoin that has value.

It’s started as a joke. It’s not anymore. I know it has no backing but there’s actual money in it now. At .002 cents it was a joke...

Mikva (men) gossip.

DH invested 4K when it was around .25 (he came in a bit late in the game). It doubled in value in under 3 weeks.

The question is when to pull out.

A good start is the news, financial sections, people that know these things...

Personally I’m invested in safe mutual funds (vanguard) or high dividend stocks (AT&T)
I’ve always been too scared to take the plunge.

I would never pull out all at once. If you can afford to lose the money, leave it in as long as you can. If you are too afraid of losing the money, I would pull out only half at a time and reinvest elsewhere in more secure lower risk lower return investments.

ETA: or just pull out initial investment. Like that you definitely didn’t lose , but you’re still able to gain

Point to keep in mind, anything you take out is taxable
