I see a number of people from Chicago here!
My husband is a graduate of highland park high school in the mid- 90s.
My mother in law has a number of friends from Buffalo Grove who have kids around the same age as my husband who became frum as teenagers. I wonder if any of them are you!
(I have nothing interesting about myself to add to this thread. I attended a centrist orthodox school in a centrist orthodox neighborhood in New York. Boring.)

to the amother who went to Andover: I have a neighbor who went to Exeter. I was like, "Wow. Is your dad a senator or something?"

Another light yellow -It’s a small world! It may be us. A handful of kids became frum while we were students in Stevenson in the 90’s. We were part of Buffalo Grove NCSY. Was your husband? Did he become frum later?

One of them was my dear friend and college roommate.

Nope-- my husband was not part of Buffalo Grove NCSY. He didn't become frum until college. But if any of you have mothers (or mother in laws) who are involved in Na'amat, then you might know my mother in law! (She loves telling me about all of her friends who have "orthodox" grandchildren.)

When I was in Israel, there were a bunch of girls from Buffalo Grove. I wonder if any of them are you! There was a girl whose name started with an M ('95), another one with an A (also '95) and H (also '95). I think there were others, but those are the ones I remember offhand.

My nephew went there until he went to CHAT. I had camp Ramat and BBYO friends who went there but I’m old.

I knew a lot of CHAT kids, and went to Camp Shalom, but a lot of my friends were at Ramah. I probably knew your nephew way back when!
