Question. I’m new to lkwd. What’s the standard school tuition for elementary girls? Lowest people pay? And highest? Want to know if what the school is asking is “standard” for the community. They want 5500
$5500 is standard.
I send to a yeshivish type school. It’s 5500 already a few years. I’m assuming they will raise it soon bec every few years it is raised.
In some ways you get what you pay for.
I think my girls are getting an excellent Hebrew education
English seems ok - especially math - but
No computers or computer lab (BF does have)
No science lab. Very basic science.
No licensed English teachers with English language degrees
Writing skills are lacking - they don’t read long books, write real book reports (they do small projects) but not learning how to do big reports with reference, note cards.
Don’t Analyze a sentence, only basic grammar rules.
At least it’s better then the boys.
The school day is 9:15-3:45 through 8th grade.
Friday is 9:15-11:45.
English is only mon-thurs

I switched to a lakewood school from a top school in another state. Some of my kids are in older grades. Compared to what they were learning they are getting a great education. They had so much busy unnecessary work that was just stress and taught them nothing. The grass isn't greener on the other side, just saying. We are so much happier overall, life isn't all about how much work you can cram in each year. My kids are blossoming in ways they weren't in the top school.
I pay $5,800 in BEM this year, they go up $100 every year, so $5900 sounds right for next year. I think its higher then other schools. I did hear that they pay their teachers more then other schools.
