I want to make a milky challah when I bake tomor. What cheese or cheese mixture would I make to put it please. Looking for it to stretch when eaten and pulled, kinda like melted cheese on pasta.
Any and all tips welcome for this. Never done it before but sounds so good
Thanks

Keep in mind..
It's important that you bake in a completely different shape if it's milchig
If you make one dough and then divide it into dif types - I.e. some will have cheese or chocolate chips..then you shouldn't make a brocha..

Look into it there’s serious halachic issues to consider

I would put the cheese on top. Inside is way harder to have bake and come out well

Right, just chiming into the chorus that generally we only make pareve bread. Speak to your rabbi for guidelines.

There’s a recipe called pizza bubble ring. It’s from Susie fishbein. It sounds like wait you’re looking for and it’s delicious! (It’s not challah so no halachic issues)

Assemble it like a babka twist in a loaf pan.

We have taken the string cheese and wrapped it in challah dough and baked it like that. Sprinkle shredded cheese on the outside (just a little) so there is no mistaken it as pareve.
Only good fresh out of the oven

You can bake milchig challah according to what I've been told if you do something very different like a crazy shape or add something on top you'd never put like poppy seeds for example. I'm chassidish so maybe others feel differently.

Butter is better than cheese.

The pizza bubble ring calls for mozzarella cheese. You make balls of dough. Put mozzarella in the middle of each balls. Melt butter, add some spices to it and roll each ball in it. Place them in a tube pan. It's delicious. If you want the exact recipe I can type it up for you.

My favorite is shredded cheddar cheese and diced yellow onions. The sweet onions balance out the salt of the cheese. Use butter instead of oil, and it is dreamy!

DD's favorite is chocolate chip, with just a tiny pinch of cinnamon. An icing drizzle on top makes it perfect, especially if you bake it like a ring of cinnamon rolls. Don't make the dough too sweet, so the chocolate and the drizzle can shine through.

Another note to op-
Baking milchig bread or challa is very problematic. Speak to you rav. If you won't have a chance, just bake your regular pareve challa recipe.
