I don't know the validity of this one but I'm asking around- I heard that sunscreen and insect repellent isn't good for baby's skin, rather cover their bodies, put on a sunhat, and use a mosquito net- does this only apply to newborns- ? if its ok to use sunscreen and insect replelents- what should I look for?

For children under 6 months for sure don't use any sunscreen. Try to block out the sun by putting a blanket draped over the front of the stroller. I also heard that sunscreen and insect repelant's not good for children's skin. But what other option is there? Make sure they're wearing a sunhat and sunscreen that's PABA free.

The real reason why Doctors say not to put sunscreen on a baby is really because they shouldn't be out in the sun AT ALL especially for the first 3 months.
