making the tuscanini flat lasagna that says oven ready. do I need to add water to the lasagna?

No. But I do put some hot water around the edges. Like a half cup.

I also put about half a cup of (cold) water around the edges of the pan.

I pour a cup of hot water over the top noodles. I find that layer doesn't cook right otherwise

Depends how much sauce you have in your pan. The lasagna will soak up whatever liquid is in the pan. I add water around the edges, and make sure the top layer of noodles is completely coated in sauce (or they get crispy).

I soak the raw noodles in hot tap water for about 20 minutes until they soften slightly and are flexible.
No extra water is needed in the lasagna and the noodles always come out soft.
