My primary daughter in Lakewood is having her siddur play tomorrow? Can I wear a ribbed tshirt or should wear a patterned pleated skirt that I wear on shabbos with black shabbos top. I’m not buying new clothes for this. What do mothers usually wear? Is a tshirt ok with a black skirt?

I wouldn't wear Shabbos. In between like wearing a top rather than a tshirt.

I wonder if our daughters are in the same class 🤣. I’m going to wear a ribbed top with a nicer skirt but it’s very in now to wear ribbed or regular t shirts with colored skirts also. Or a dressier ribbed two piece. I wouldn’t wear shabbos

I had my daughters today - Bais tova. Didn’t see any shabbos, was mostly nicer weekday like what you wear to bris

Bais Tova is fancier than my school so I guess I can wear my ribbed top with nicer black skirt and stockings and nicer shoes

I would wear Shabbos clothing because it is a big milestone. My son got his Chumash and he knows that I wore Shabbos clothing and my Shabbos jewelery because it was a big deal and we all were very excited about it.
If your nervous about being overdressed wear casual Shabbos.
