My Laundry room is two flights down in the basement. The plastic baskets crack often and my collapsible fabric one keeps breaking by the “hinges” part. I need something easy to carry and durable. Any recommendations?

There's a collapsible plastic one that is rubber around the middle. Not sure how to describe it.

I've seen it in store at Home Depot. Got mine at Amazing Savings. |
Yes, that's the one!

Would fabric laundry bags do the trick?

Another vote for the collapsible ones that have rubber in the middle. I have 4 of those. I love that I can fold them flat when not in use and they don’t take up space

This one is great. It’s really heavy duty plastic. I recently had to replace mine after 12 years of heavy use. The other ones I looked at couldn’t compare in strength.

The ones with the rubber middle are great for space saving but are definitely not durable. Mine did not last long at all.

Thanks ladies, I think I prefer a fabric basket as they’re usually lighter and easier to shlep up all the stairs. ( a tote is inconvenient as it can’t stand open on its own/ can’t put folded piles into it). Can anyone recommend a good quality one? The one I’ve been using was great except it broke rather quickly.
I’ll try to link the one I have

CleverMade Collapsible Fabric Laundry Basket - Foldable Pop Up Storage Container Organizer - Space Saving Hamper with Carry Handles Extra Large, One Size Charcoal/Grey
This is what I’ve been using. I really liked it but didn’t last long before the collapsible hinges part cracked and now it doesn’t stand open

I use these. They're lightweight and inexpensive. True, they do tend to Crack eventually but they're cheap enough that I just replace every 3-4 years and it's not a big deal. But if you specifically want collapsible it won't help.
