I started 1 month ago
Got on the scale today and I’m 4lbs heavier

I need double knee replacement and want a to lose some weight before surgery
I need to lose 40lbs

Sponsor wants me to continue but I can’t afford to gain more weight

I chose only berries as my fruit option

I’ve been to the dr, nutritionist, weight watchers (also gained there).

Don’t know where else to turn

Would you try the Fast Metabolism Diet by Haylie Pomroy? I've str with my weight for years. I was able to lose some weight on some diets, but always got stuck after a few pounds. I've been on this diet for over seven months now, I've lost over 50 pounds and I feel like a different person!

Have you tried the keto diet? I know people who really lost weight on it after nothing else worked.

Also look into intermittent fasting.

Also I’m choosing keto options
Berries for breakfast
I even used MCT oil in my salad
My blood ketones were .5 or less

It has three phases. The first phase is two days you can eat grain and fruit(from a specific list) for breakfast, grain, fruit, protein, and vegetables for lunch, grain, protein, and vegetables for dinner, two snacks one between each meal of fruit. Drink half your body weight in water every day.

Phase two is the next two days. All three meals and the two snacks are protein and vegetables only. And the water..

Phase three is the last three days of the week. Breakfast is a fruit, grain, protein, vegetables and a healthy fat. Lunch is a fruit, protein, vegetables and a healthy fat. Dinner is protein, vegetables, and a healthy fat. Snacks are healthy fat and vegetables. And the water...
You get to eat really healthy and you feel great. I would suggest you buy her book on Amazon. It's an easy read. I would be happy to help you with any questions or anything else.

I lost about 30 pounds.

I cut calories. Literally counting everything at first and now I know by heart.

I wouldn't put any oil in my salad... Cut cut cut calories anywhere you can

I eat about 1500 calories 😢

I eat about 1000... Some days a little more but I cut out more the next day.

Do it slowly. Each month go down another bit. Don't Starve yourself.

I also exercise so I am able to eat a little more on those days.

And as I gain more muscle, I'll be able to go even higher.

On keto, you should not be eating any fruit as a meal, even berries. Also, it sounds like you are counting net carbs but some people do better when they only count full carbs.

Look, I'm not a keto expert but I do have friends who have lost on this diet when every other diet didn't work. You may look into joining a keto group as greysheet doesn't seem to be working.

You may want to add intermittent fasting to your diet as well.

Brunch:
Half a tuna or Salmon patte sandwich & veg. For brunch. (I often don't eat breakfast. )

Snack:
One of the following
Fruits - apple/ banana / ...
2 eggs
Variety of Nuts
Protein bar.


Dinner:
Chicken/fish/ cheese/meat
Very little carb I'm anyways serving the others.
Veg Salad.
Sometimes soup.

If you're gaining weight on all diets, it's time to visit an endocrinologist for an in depth examination as to what's going on. There is probably an underlying reason.

Could also be that you are very insulin-resistant.

If you are trying to do keto, you need more fat that protein. Some people make the mistake of thinking keto is the same as low carb. It's not.

Low carb is anything that doesn't have carbs, ie protein and fat.

Keto inherently means HIGH fat, moderate protein, and very low carb.

I don't think 1000 calories is enough for a heavy person to feel satisfied on. If you're starving, you wont be able to stick with any diet.

I had a hip replacement surgery 4 years ago

Tried everything

The only thing that worked was bariatric surgery

Went ftom 312 to 155

I’m not trying to do. Keto, BTDT
I’m trying to do GREYSHEET with the lowest carb count possible and keep to the program
I’m also trying to stick to a 16/8 eating window
I’m eating about 1500 cal. a day.
I can’t afford to gain weight
Every extra lb feels like 5 on the knees
