I'm calling it landscaping because I can't think of a better word.
I live in a rented basement apartment but landlord lives in another city. He never ever ever comes, which in a way is nice for us.
issue is the property is getting out of hand. Weeds everywhere. Can't push my carriage down the path to basement anymore.
I reminded landlord a bunch of times to get it taken care of, but he never did anything. Today he finally told me that I should find someone to do the job and send him the bill.
I called a few landscaping companies from the phonebook and they want around $300 for the job. Nothing less. It can't be it's a $300 job. All I need is weeds and tree branches cut around edges of property. There is no grass at all.
Someone told me that Mexican workers would do the job for cheap but I'm not sure where I would find them.
Any ideas. TIA.

This sounds like something a teenager with a weed whacker and mower could do in half an hour...there are a few in my neighborhood and probably in yours too...

I’m in the prospect area so I don’t know anyone , I’m sorry. Do you have a neighborhood chat? Do you have a neighbor with a teenage boy? If her son doesn’t do it maybe he knows someone who does
