My daughter stained a new shirt with paint that I am not sure is washable (was at a party). If I wash it (I won’t dry it) will that make the stain worse if not washable? Is there even a way to get out non washable paint?

Start with Goo Gone and a q-tip. See if you can slowly dissolve the paint with a q-tips dipped in Goo Gone (put rag underneath the stain to absorb the extra Goo Gone).

Should I first try to wash it? Or will it only make it harder to remove

Use artists soap. It works really well on tough stains especially paint.

It usually doesn't help and sometimes makes it harder.

Ok, I meant in case it is washable! But don’t want to risk making it worse.

Do you know where I can get this? Any specific brand?

Rinse out the Goo Gone. Buy paint thinner and be very careful when using- also with a q-tip. Keep dipping, using new q-tips, until it comes off. Might risk fading the fabric (which is why if you see any sort of thinning or lightening with Goo Gone, keep at it even if it takes a really long time/days/switching off with someone while you break it down (lower risk of fading but still a possibility).
