Any ideas for hotels or place to stay with a private indoor pool in the room/house? I'm in NY, so something nearby, not Florida.

People have mentioned the place in Pennsylvania. Anyone know if they're still open post-COVID and if it's not gross? Anyone been there recently?

Thanks in advance!

I was there around 7 years ago and it wasn't in the best condition. We still had a great time because there is tons to do there and we are not super particular about accommodations but if you are I would stay away.

I could have written the above. I’m chilled out and could have had a nice time despite the gross accommodations but my husband totally ruined the trip by insisting that we do every single activity: biking, archery, basketball, the night show, boating, and more. And the twerpy guy (who was so young and may have been on his honeymoon!) that insisted that my husband come to an early morning minyan the next morning didn’t help me relax either.

If you're looking for a hotel that has private pools, those are rare. You would do better to look on Airbnb or VRBO for private homes with pools.

Really? We had so much fun there. Granted we went 10 years ago. Did it get so much worse?

Airbnb and vrbo. You'd be surprised how much bang you can get for your buck!

Am I missing something? I thought only millionaires and movie stars had private indoor pools.

I've never heard of even the fanciest hotel having a pool in the room. Maybe the Presidential Suite. I'll never be rich enough to find out, lol.

Anyone now thinking of the commercial from the 80’s
“Beautiful Mount Airy Lodge. All you have to bring, is your love of everything” with the champagne glass pool/hot-tub in the room.

I do remember that!

IMO, a hot tub that fits two people is not a pool. A pool is something you can swim in, jump in, dive in, etc.

My room at Cove Haven had a full size pool in the room, a sauna/steam area AND a champagne glass hot tub. And sparkling twinkly lights over the bed. Check out the “Champagne Tower Room”

LOL That is so tacky!

I dare you to swim laps in that pool. Sit on each other's laps, sure, but there won't be any swimming going on. Wink

This one has a smallish pool, that I guess would qualify, kinda. https://www.covepoconoresorts......uite/

We've been to cove Haven also. Ya it wasn't the cleanest or more beautiful accommodation but the private pool, huge hot tub and tons of activities were worth it.

It's a bit creepy at night so we just stayed in our room.
