Did you have Covid while pregnant or got pregnant shortly after having covid and had a small baby or a baby smaller than your other kids? I’ve heard there have been smaller than average babies born during COVID from my OB.

I’m currently pregnant and had both vaccines but nevr had covid BH.
My baby is actually measuring big and they’re keeping an eye on me that it’s not too big otherwise they’ll induce me.

It’s because covid is causing the placenta to deteriorate. We are calling it a covid placenta when you see it filled with clots. Baby is not receiving everything it needs if mom has covid while pregnant.

I heard someone who had covid in first/second trimester.
Her baby is not small, but she had had humongous babies.
She had terrible issues with retained placenta, terrible hemorrhaging, and was in the ICU a few weeks after birth.
Covid related?
No clue.

You need an option for "AFAIK I did not have covid (and did not receive the vaccine) during pregnancy and had a small baby."
(That would be me.)

I had covid in my fifth month, baby was lga (big!) and I had to be induced a little early. I did hemorrhage pretty badly with this one, not with my others, don’t know if it’s related.

I had covid in my second trimester. My baby was born a few days late and weighed 6.5 pounds. It was my first baby so I had no other ones to compare with but I was carrying small even before I had covid. My mother had a lot of babies in that weight range so I don't think it was covid related. No problems with placenta.
