This. Call Columbia. Just call. Ask about cancellations. Say you can be there in an hour if they call

I looked back to a confirmation email for our last study for the contact info.
Elizabeth Phone: (212)263-6033 - Options 2,8 ●

I’m actually scheduled for a virtual visit with rusk speech supervisor tom morn. I can ask her if she knows offhand about any cancellations and how soon you can get it done otherwise. Lmk if you want me to inquire.

If you are considering a swallow study, be aware that barium is a metal and is considered toxic to humans. Just something to keep in mind.

You need to see an ENT, and a feeding therapist. They will probably order a swallow study. There are feeding therapists that are part of hospital rehab teams and accept insurance. Try Rusk.
Good luck.

If I knew my child had a posterior tongue tie, I'd probably address that first and then reevaluate before running for more (invasive) testing.

I am. Even though 4-5 professionals told me it’s not necessary. Will see next week when we have an appointment. But if that was the issue why does he drink nicely when asleep and as a newborn?

Yes
The swallow studies are done in NYU Tisch

Ok, I’ll try and ask. Can you meanwhile get a hold of the referral?

Quoting my post-
Unless the pulm you saw is affiliated with a Brooklyn hospital it might be easier to get referral from them for swallow study

I hope you find answers and get help soon. But also find yourself a new pediatrician, they should have been on top of this giving you referrals and sending you to specialists.
