Also regarding baths- on nights when I have less energy and I feel like he didn't get too gross that day, I'll have him just play in the bath and not wash him and then wipe him down with bath wipes after (neck, underarms, thighs) so he smells fresher..

I do sunscreen before playing in the sun. Baths not every day, just as needed and more frequently in summer. I just gave my 3 and 1 year olds a shower the other day and I was amazed at how good they were and how easy and fast it was, so I'll prob do that more this summer. I used the handheld showerhead on a gentle spray so they weren't scared, and I sat the baby on the shower floor.
