None of these would actually work; kitchen is on a different floor, with a double sink, which is essentially two small sinks that wouldn’t fit any tub either; and no counter space around for a tub.

Bathroom sinks, as I said, are too small to fit a baby tub.

Shower floor isn’t nogeia —its like using a bathtub only even more uncomfortable and dangerous in terms of getting off the floor.

Someone mentioned doing sponge baths in bed— how does that work?

For the shower, you don't have to let the floor get wet. Fill the bath with cups of water and then you sit on the floor. Or buy a bath stand.

For my last baby I got a shnuggle bath. My knees and back are not what they used to be and I knew I wouldn't be able to kneel over the tub. I didnt want a big baby bath on a stand since my bathroom is quite small, so the shnuggle ticked all boxes for me. Small enough to use from newborn, the stand folds flat, and so far my baby loves it.

I just use a shisel until they're old enough for the big bath...have the baby sitting up, leaning bank, & you hold their head.

I need help figuring out how to bathe a newborn!

I have a master bathroom with a shower and a sink that wouldn’t fit a baby tub, no counter space for a tub either.

And another bathroom down the hallway, with a small sink as well, and a bathtub.

Is there a solution other than tub-in-tub and me on the floor, it’s somewhat hard for me, plus lifting a wet baby out of tub and getting up from your knees often feels unsteady.

How do they bathe babies in hospitals, is there some kind of tub on a stand solution or smth?
Id prefer something in my bathroom so as not to walk down the hallway with the baby.

Yes, there are tubs on stands

For the sponge bath, I put 2 towels on my bed with baby on top. I have a bowl of water mixed with baby wash. Put a washcloth in the soapy water, then wash the baby starting from top going down, re-dipping as necessary. Also, use another towel over the baby to keep parts covered so she won’t get too cold. Then wrap her up with a dry towel when done. That’s how I do it the first few weeks until baby goes in the baby bath inside the tub.

Also check out swaddle bath. I’m not sure if this link will work for you if you don’t have Instagram, but she explains it clearly.

My baby tub fits over a double kitchen sink. It has grooves so it fits kind of on top, but you can use the faucet and any water stays in the area. Kind of hard to explain but if you look at the pics you can see. https://www.amazon.com/First-Y.....r=8-3

There are stands(kind of like ironing board with no board) for baby baths.

You can just line the bathroom sink with a washcloth, dill with warm water and a little baby soap, put baby in and bathe that way.

No need for actual baby bath

My friend lines her kitchen sink with 1/2 a plastic table cloth.

Then fills with water.

Get an insert for the sink. Here are some options. I’m sure there are more. I have the second puj that’s linked below and LOVE it.

I also stopped using the baby bath. I used the sink ( baby direct in sink) and then the big bath once they sit independently.
I get it about the back aches though.
For newborns sponge bath is fine.
Like the idea of the dishpan too.
