I got my granddaughter a pandora-like bracelet with 2 charms and just added one for her graduation. She was thrilled. I also got her a really pretty Tehillim, whatever was “in style” in terms of the color... both were big hits.

This! very important, unless you have no other granddaughters and don't expect to. Something that will last, that she can cherish because it was for her Bat Mitzvah and it was from you. I'd go with jewelry or something related to being a Jewish woman, like a set of machazorim or chumashim, or small candlesticks.
