I know we're allowed to clean the body if soiled. So I use my wipes on these days (my Rov says I can use them on Shabbos).
However, I've gotten into the habit of using them even if not soiled (urine only, to be precise) as I feel cleaner etc.
Last YK I got to thinking, maybe I'm doing something wrong.
WAY too embarrassing a question to ask....

What type of wipes were you told you could use on Shabbos?

Why would be a problem, if they aren't scented?

Quote: | What type of wipes were you told you could use on Shabbos? | We didn't discuss the type. He just said, leave the package open for a while so they're not very wet.
I end up opening 3-4 pkgs just to have several not too wet at the top of each.
Note this is for adult use. My kids tell me it may different for a child's diaper change where you have to rub hard. So AYLOR. Which is what I'm not doing ....

Because on YK and tisha b'av washing is a problem.

I would normally say "don't assume something is assur without asking" - I don't think it's a good practice to not do things because you think they might be assur, when they could very easily be mutar (eg. in kashrut, don't throw out your milchig dish because your hot fleishig spoon touched it, just because you're not sure. or eg. don't assume a bedika cloth is a bad colour, when really a rav may say it's fine)
but.. 9 Av and YK are each 24 hrs, I'd honestly make an exception, and wipe with regular toilet paper for one day, rather than ask a Rav if I can wipe my behind with a wipe.

OT, but I hope you're not flushing these wipes. "Flushable" wipes are responsible for a whole lot of stopped up plumbing.
