Applying for a job and wondering what to expect. Can any day care teachers please tell me how much they make? If you can include location, hours, age you teach, and years of experience, that would be a big help. Thank you so much!

I work in Lakewood, next year will be my third year in the same place so I will be making 25 an hour.
I started at 20 an hour and went up a little each year.
Subs make between 25-30 an hour, sometimes even 35.
I'm 48

I work in a daycare in lakewood. I get about $20/hr
I get paid by month though
And I get paid over yom tov
I'm in my twenties

I think most daycares pay the same, I've heard one place pays more than others. I've also heard about one that pays less than even what I get.

Basically...When I asked them what the salary is, they asked me to come to the interview with a number in mind, and they'll decide if they can meet it. How much do you think I can ask for, without going over the top? 9 - 3:30

OP. Where are you located and where will you be working? In a school? A playgroup? Do you have experience? Any schooling?

Tristate area, a daycare mostly funded by CHS, no schooling but over 10 years experience with that age.

It depends if you are actually a teacher or an assistant or work in a baby room. I think many baby morahs and assistants get less than 20. It's a salary, so it really goes by the month. Yes they pay for Yom Tov.

It's what subsidized daycare is called in NJ. I forget what it's called in NY.

There is the same idea in other states but it's not called CHS as far as I know.
