Hi my son went from Gateshead yeshiva gedola to Reb Shlomo Reichs yeshiva, I think he needs something a bit bigger with more atmosphere but not massive. I don't know who he or us parents can get advice from. He is a really serious kid and is getting wasted/not steiging where he is
All help and suggestions welcome
Thanks

Why is he not doing well where he is? Is he smarter than everyone else?

I know some really high level learners at Mir. It all depends on how motivated you are. If you want to push yourself, there's plenty of room to do that, and there are always chavrusas that will keep you going forward.

No negatives from the yeshiva but some chavrusas / bachurim don't turn up, sleep late, go out on trips etc. Basically not as serious about learning, and keeping to times, obviously not all but enough to feel and see the difference in him.
I feel like he is being pulled down not up
I feel like Mir is a bit too big for him, but I honestly don't know and would like to ask advice from someone who knows about yeshivas. Can anyone tell us any names?

Rav Sholom Schechter’s yeshiva. Ner Moshe. Small enough and not too small. Also has a dorm so more accountability

I don’t know what style he’s used to. Would Rav Tzvi Kushalevsky be appropriate?
