Has anyone’s used it and did it taste good? I can’t get ricotta or cottage cheese and I really want to make lasagna

Is this a Tofutti product?

I haven't seen it in Israel, but I'd love to find some!

Why can't you get the dairy products? Do you only use CY, and don't have them in your area? If you can get CY milk you can make your own with warm milk and lemon juice or weak vinegar. Look online for recipes for "paneer" and you can get step by step directions.

Just be aware that it takes a lot of milk to produce a cup of milk solids. (Use the whey to water outdoor plants.)

Do you have access to farmers cheese?
Otherwise, I'd make my own cottage cheese with milk, vinegar and salt. You'll need cheese cloth or a tea towel. The tofutti really doesn't taste good unless you're expecting to taste soy.

I tried it. It was dry.
Can you use tofu instead? Crumbled and seasoned very well.

Did it taste weird? I was going to use in baked ziti with sauce.
Maybe I can try tofu
