Looking for ideas for 11 and 12 year old boys todo after day camp that will keep them happy and feel productive. Specifically projects that they can do on their own but won’t lose interest in.

I once bought unpainted, plain wooden birdhouses at a craft store, bought some poster paint and brushes, and let the kids paint them.

Take a pinecone and smear it with peanut butter and coat with nuts or seeds. Hang it from the birdhouse and hang the birdhouse out the window to attract birds.

They can photograph the birds and try to identify them.

Last year we built a shed. My boys were about that age.
The floor they needed my dh’s help but the rest they did themselves. It took a long time but had to be done quickly not over many days.

Paint and seal swing set? Build simple swing set from plans.

Build lean to for bikes?

Build a fire pit?

Build a raised garden bed or green house?

Trim bushes. Plant and maintain a garden.

Plan and make carnival. Prepare booths and signs. Get neighborhood kids to man booths. Money can go to tzedakah
